repost from Mr. Schoenebeck's newsletter

Hello parents,

Here are the important points for this week.

*Case 21 tests are today (Tuesday), Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.  The tests are reading, math, and science respectively.

*We have been registering students for electives in middle school.  As students get signed up for their electives, you will be getting a note with "Teacher Recommendations."  This is not actually a recommendation from myself, but rather a list of courses I was given in which to enroll your child based on testing data such as EOG's and Case 21's.  If you are interested in a different recommendation, please note that on the recommendation form and inform us before track out.  If you are satisfied with the recommendations, please sign and return the form.  If you have any questions, you may email Ms. Cooper at ccooper@wcpss.net.  Feel free to cc me on that email as well.

*Thursday night is our school talent show.

*Friday is early release.  Dismissal is at 1:15.  Please make sure your child knows how they are getting home on Friday.

*The first day of 4th quarter is Thursday, April 20th.  Enjoy your track out.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Thank you.

Middle School Course Recommendations are going home today. Please note that although it reads "Teacher Recommendations". It is not actually a teacher recommendation, 5th grade teachers were given a list of courses to enroll your child in based on testing data. For example, EOG's and Case 21. If you are interested in a higher recommendation, please note that on the recommendation form before we track out. If not, just sign and return. If you have any questions please email ccooper@wcpss.net. Feel free to cc' me.

Thanks!

*Friday is early release & Track out

Hey Parents- Graduation Pictures are tomorrow at 10:30.

*Side note, I previously talked to the class about cliques (not allowed) and today I talked about bullying. Here is the article: http://kidshealth.org/en/teens/bullies.html. Tomorrow morning we will do some character education related to acceptance and inclusion to improve classroom climate (fell off a bit while I was out).

If you are able to contribute a book, from the book fair related to a positive moral message that I could share with the class-It would be greatly appreciated.

Feel free to contact me with any specific questions.

Thanks!
